"I'm about 6 weeks into it and noticing that the numbness in my feet and toes is reduced. They used to feel mushy, especially first thing in the morning. Now that feeling is less and I stop noticing it within an hour or two. More importantly, I'm feeling more balanced on my feet when I'm walking. Something good is happening! Doing a 20 min. treatment every night when I get in bed."

Introducing the Cura Foot Therapy System™

You told us the wrap was hard to put on. You were right.

It was the #1 piece of feedback on the Neuropathy Light Therapy System. So we rebuilt the shape around it, and didn't touch the light that made it work. The wait is over.

Slips on like a boot

No more wrapping, folding and strapping while balancing on one leg. Unzip the front, slide your foot in, zip up and close the calf strap. Done in seconds.

Ventilation holes

Vents in the outer shell let heat escape, so the boot keeps running at the full 200 mW/cm² without overheating. The power of an open wrap, in the shape of a boot.

New The new Cura Foot Therapy System boot in blue with a front zipper, calf strap and ventilation holes, red light visible inside

A remote you can actually read

A bigger screen, simpler buttons & preset modes. No more guessing at numbers or fiddling with settings. Optimal dosage and settings every time.

A fresh new look

The boot now comes in signature CuraYou indiego blue. Inside, it's the same red and near-infrared light our customers already trust.

Everything that made the NLTS work, kept exactly the same:

  • 200 mW/cm² irradiance
  • 660nm red + 850nm near-infrared
  • 2:1 near-infrared to red ratio
  • Full tibial nerve coverage
  • Continuous + pulsing modes
  • 90-day treatment plan
  • 60-day money-back guarantee
  • Up to 3-year warranty
Not all boots are built the same

Most red light boots stop at your ankle. Ours goes all the way up the nerve.

Same modality, very different results. Where the light physically lands, and how much of it gets there, is the whole difference.

Typical red light boot

Covers the foot up to the ankle.

  • Stops at the ankleThe medial ankle and calf sit outside the shell, so that stretch of the tibial nerve gets no light at all.
  • Sealed shell, so heat builds upWith nowhere for heat to go, most consumer boots are limited to roughly 80–130 mW/cm².
  • Ships with a manualHardware and an instruction sheet. What you do on day 14 is up to you.
VS
Cura Foot Therapy System™

Covers foot, ankle and calf.

  • Goes all the way up the calfFoot, medial ankle and lower calf: the whole route the tibial nerve travels.
  • Ventilated, so heat escapesVentilation holes let heat out, which is what allows a sustained 200 mW/cm².
  • Ships with a 90-day treatment planA day-by-day schedule with balance and stretching exercises plus nutrition guidance. 30 minutes a day.
3 reasons this boot is different

Built for neuropathy. On purpose.

01 · Coverage

It reaches the whole tibial nerve pathway, not just your toes.

Neuropathy usually starts in the feet because the longest nerves are the first to suffer. The tibial nerve carries sensation from your entire sole, and it travels behind the inner ankle and up through the calf to get there. A boot that stops at the ankle only treats the end of the line. Ours wraps the foot, the medial ankle and the calf, so the light reaches the nerve along its route, not just where you feel the symptoms.

What to check: look at where a device physically ends. If the shell stops at the ankle, the medial ankle and calf never see any light, no matter how many LEDs are inside.

02 · Power

Over 50% more power than the leading consumer boot.

Irradiance is how much light energy actually reaches the tissue. Most consumer boots run at 80–130 mW/cm². The Cura Foot Therapy System runs at 200 mW/cm², one of the highest irradiation powers in its class. The ventilation holes are what make that possible: heat escapes instead of building up inside a sealed shell. And less heat matters, because overheated cells absorb the energy from light less efficiently.

What to check: compare irradiance in mW/cm², not LED count. A device can carry more LEDs and still deliver less energy to the tissue. If a spec sheet doesn't publish irradiance at all, that's worth noticing.

03 · System

A device is one tool. We ship the whole treatment plan.

Other boots arrive with hardware and an instruction sheet. Ours arrives with a structured 90-day plan: a daily light schedule, balance and stretching exercises, and an anti-inflammatory nutrition guide. Nerves are among the slowest-healing tissues in the body, and they respond best to an approach that works on them from more than one side.

What to check: ask what arrives in the box besides the device. Consistency over 90 days is what most people struggle with, and a clear schedule is what keeps you going.

Clinic-style treatment, at home

Red light therapy review.

First I wanna say that I think this is a good company to do business with. They completely replaced one of the boots that I bought, because the wiring became freight quickly, they could have just replaced the flawed piece but instead they sent me an entire new boot, only good companies. Do things like that? I have a lot of foot pain and neuropathy in my feet. I i've been dealing with this for more than 20 years and I truly wish I would have discovered this years ago I don't know when or where I'll end up with all this.I am committed to using this pretty much every day , twice a day for twenty four months

Gaining ground

My husband has been using the neuropathy strap for about 3 weeks along with the protocol suggested. The day after treatment he slept through the night! We were amazed. After that pain return, but as the days have gone by, he’s having less pain during the day, and he does a treatment before bed and it gets him to fall asleep. Something that’s a really big accomplishment. If he wakes during the night, the pain returns, but not as bad. Puts some menthol cream and falls back to sleep. It’s getting better everyday. He see small changes in the way his feet feel. He feels hopeful.

In the morning after I do it, the numbness in my feet seems better. By night, however, it seems the same.

What to expect month by month

A 3-month treatment plan with a clear path forward.

30 minutes a day: 20 min of light + 10 min of exercises · No medical training needed

Light therapy

20 minutes in the boot every day, sitting on the couch or in bed.

Balance & stretching

10 minutes of simple exercises to steady your step and keep blood flowing.

Anti-inflammatory nutrition

A simple eating guide that supports the same pathways the light works on.

Month 1

Cells repair.

Daily light therapy restores ATP production in damaged nerve cells. Inflammation starts to recede. Most patients notice that bedsheet sensitivity at night begins to ease in the first 2–3 weeks.

Month 2

Nerves heal.

Growth factors (BDNF, NGF) signal Schwann cells to rebuild the myelin sheath around damaged fibers. Numbness in toes begins to recede. Balance starts to feel steadier.

Month 3

Symptoms improve dramatically.

Most patients report meaningful reductions in burning, tingling and night pain, alongside returning sensation. Daily routines feel possible again.

Already own a Neuropathy Light Therapy System?

Should you upgrade? Here's our honest answer.

The light inside is identical, so your red light therapy works just as well as it did yesterday. This upgrade is about convenience. For some people, that convenience changes everything.

Treat both feet at once and cut your daily treatment time in half.

Most owners have one Neuropathy Light Therapy System and treat their feet one after the other. Put your Neuropathy Light Therapy System on one foot and the new boot on the other, and you're done in a single session. Same light, same dose, half the time on the couch.

Daily treatment time:40 min20 min

Upgrade if…

  • You have balance problems.Wrapping and strapping a pad around your foot often means bending over or standing on one leg. With the boot, you sit down, slide your foot in and zip it up.
  • Putting the wrap on is a daily struggle.Stiff hands, a sore back, or simply trouble reaching your feet. If getting it on feels like a chore, the boot fixes that.
  • You treat both feet.Use your NLTS on one foot and the boot on the other to finish in half the time.
  • You'd like a remote that's easier to read.Bigger screen, simpler controls.

Keep using your older model if…

  • Putting it on is no trouble for you.If the wrap fits easily into your routine, there's no reason to change it.
  • You only treat one foot. The boot won't add anything to the therapy itself.

The light, the power and the treatment plan are identical. The therapy is equally effective in both.

The science in 60 seconds

How red light helps damaged nerves heal.

Red and near-infrared light reaches through the skin to the nerves underneath. Research on photobiomodulation points to four effects that work together.

Recharges nerve cells

Mitochondria absorb the light and turn it into cellular energy (ATP). Nerve cells are among the most energy-hungry in the body. When they run low, they signal poorly and repair slowly.

Stimulates nerve repair

In nerve-injury studies, red and near-infrared light sped up the regrowth of nerve fibers, improved the recovery of nerve conduction, and boosted the antioxidant enzymes that protect nerve cells. Growth factors like BDNF and NGF signal Schwann cells to rebuild the myelin sheath.

Ishiguro et al., Journal of Orthopaedic Science

Restores blood flow

The light triggers the release of nitric oxide, which widens blood vessels. That brings more oxygen and nutrients to the tiny vessels that feed your foot nerves, one of the root drivers of neuropathy.

Larkin-Kaiser et al., Pain Medicine

Calms inflammation & pain

Studies report lower levels of inflammatory signals (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6), and clinical trials in neuropathy report lower pain scores. That's the burning and tingling quieting down.

Questions, answered honestly

Before you order.

Is the light the same as in the Neuropathy Light Therapy System?

Yes. Same 200 mW/cm² irradiance, same 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared wavelengths, same 2:1 ratio, same continuous and pulsing modes. The therapy is equally effective. What changed is the shape, the ventilation, the remote and the color.

What makes it easier to put on?

Instead of wrapping a pad around your foot and securing several straps, you sit down, unzip the front, slide your foot in, zip up and close the strap around your calf. No balancing on one leg and no fiddling with straps around your ankle.

Will it fit me?

The adjustable calf strap fits any calf size, and the foot easily fits up to a US men's shoe size 13 (EU 47).

Do the ventilation holes mean less light reaches my foot?

The ventilation holes are there to let heat escape. That's exactly what allows the boot to run at a full 200 mW/cm² without overheating. Sealed boots trap heat, which is why most of them are limited to around 80–130 mW/cm². And less heat matters, because overheated cells absorb the light's energy less efficiently.

Can I use it together with my Neuropathy Light Therapy System?

Yes, and it's one of the best reasons to get one. Put the NLTS on one foot and the boot on the other to treat both feet in one 20-minute session instead of two.

How soon will I notice a difference?

Nerves heal slowly, so consistency matters more than anything. Most patients notice night-time sensitivity easing in the first 2–3 weeks, numbness receding in month 2, and meaningful reductions in burning, tingling and night pain by month 3. The 90-day plan is designed to keep you on track the whole way.

Is this FDA approved?

The Cura Foot Therapy System, along with other red light therapy devices on the market, is a Class II medical device that is exempt from FDA premarket review (510(k)-exempt), made in an FDA-registered, ISO-certified facility.

Is it safe to use with my current medications?

It's a drug-free, non-invasive device, so it doesn't interact with medications the way a drug would, and red light therapy is generally well tolerated. Check with your doctor before starting if you have an implant near the treatment area or take a medication that increases light sensitivity. Don't change your prescriptions without their guidance.

Can I pay with my HSA or FSA?

Yes. Select Gale as your payment method at checkout to use your HSA or FSA funds.

What if it doesn't work for me?

You have 60 days. If it's not right for you, send it back for a refund. Return shipping (~$16) is at the customer's expense. If you'd like to read more first, you can read about red light therapy for neuropathy here.
