"I compared this with other products and glad I chose the CuraYou. I especially like that I can use this with a powerbank instead of merely using with AC adapter. Pad works well."

Why not a regular power bank?

Full power, not 70%.

Ordinary power banks are built to charge phones, not to run red light therapy. Plug a light therapy device into one and it typically runs at about 70% of its power, or less. Irradiance is what carries the light deep into muscles, joints and nerves, so a weaker session can mean slower progress. This power bank gives your device the same full-strength session it gets from a wall outlet.

Using a device from another brand?

This power bank also runs other brands' red light therapy devices at full power, as long as your device meets all three requirements:

1

It has a DC 5.5 x 2.1 mm connection

Also called a DC 5521 plug. It is round, with a 5.5 mm outer diameter and a 2.1 mm pin inside. It is the most common DC plug size.

2

It runs on 12V

The power adapter that came with your device should say Output: 12V. Devices built for 5V, 19V or 24V are not compatible.

3

It draws 3A or less

The same label should show 3A or less (36W or less). The power bank delivers up to 3A.

The quickest check is the label on your device's wall adapter. Not sure what it means? Contact our support team and we will help you check.

Care instructions

Keep your battery healthy for years.

1

Full cycle every 3 months

Fully charge the power bank, then let it fully discharge, once every three months. This keeps the battery in its best condition.

2

Storing it long-term

Every six months, charge it fully, run it down by powering a device, then charge it to 50%. Store it in a cool, dry place.

3

Unplug when not in use

Don't leave the cable connected to a power supply when you aren't using the power bank.

Questions, answered honestly

Before you order.

Which devices does this power bank work with? ▼

It runs the Cura Foot Therapy System™ and the Cura ProWave Light Pad™ at full power. It also works with other brands' red light therapy devices that have a DC 5.5 x 2.1 mm plug, run on 12V and draw 3A or less. You'll find the voltage and amps on the label of your device's wall adapter. It is not compatible with the Cura LaserFlex Ultra™.

Can I power other devices like my smartphone with this power bank? ▼

Yes. Besides the DC output for your light therapy device, it also has a USB-A and a USB-C output, so it can charge most small electronic devices, like your smartphone.

Can I take it on a plane? ▼

Yes. Pack it in your carry-on bag, not your checked luggage. Airlines require power banks and other spare lithium batteries to travel in the cabin.

How long does one charge last? ▼

At full power, one charge runs the Cura ProWave Light Pad™ for 4 hours and the Cura Foot Therapy System™ for 3.5 hours. With 20-minute sessions, that's about 12 ProWave sessions or about 10 Foot Therapy System sessions per charge.

How do I charge the power bank? ▼

Use the included wall adapter and USB-C cable. A full charge takes about 3.5 hours. Unplug the cable once charging is done, and don't leave it connected to a power supply when the power bank isn't in use.

Is it safe? ▼

Yes. It carries four certifications: UL 2056, the US safety standard for power banks; UN 38.3, the safety testing required to ship lithium batteries; FCC Part 15B, which limits electronic interference; and CE, the European safety mark.

Is this HSA / FSA eligible? ▼

No. Our red light therapy systems are HSA / FSA eligible, but the power bank accessory can't be purchased with HSA / FSA funds.

Can I return this if I change my mind? ▼

All accessory sales are final. Our 60-day money-back guarantee is designed to give customers the chance to try our devices risk-free. Accessories are not needed for that purpose, so they are excluded from that policy. The 1-year product warranty still applies. If your power bank is defective, we will replace it.
